2. What data we collect and when

Podcast & Books: We don’t collect personal data if you buy books via Amazon or subscribe to the podcast on platforms like Spotify, Apple, or YouTube.

Donations: If you donate money to help cover my costs in producing the podcast and free content, we will receive your name and email for the sole purpose of sending a thank-you message.

Courses & Memberships: For short courses or the aspiring psychologist membership, for example, we collect contact information (name, address, phone number and email) and store it securely within our customer relationship management (CRM) system, Kartra.

1:1 Sessions: For any 1:1 coaching or support, your data (name, email, phone number, and appointment details) will be securely stored in Writeupp. Writeupp will automatically send you appointment links and sms reminders.
3. Data Security & Storage

All data is stored securely in password-protected platforms. Writeupp is used for therapy-related data, whilst Kartra stores data related to the mailing list, courses and memberships. Both platforms incorporate 2-factor authentication to enhance security.

Dr Marianne Trent / Good Thinking Psychological Services do not store payment information on our systems for purchases via third-party sites like Amazon. We also do not hold any of your payment method details as this is handled via Stripe, PayPal or Barclays.
4. Data Retention

Non-client contact data is retained for six months if there is no further engagement, after which it is securely deleted.

1:1 session information is retained for up to 7 years in compliance with legal requirements.
